The University of Dayton has a heritage of athletic excellence that is unsurpassed at this size of institution and level of competition. It is a tribute to our extraordinary student-athletes, excellent coaches and generous Champions and Scholar members that such athletic success can be accomplished.

Jim Jabir - Head Women's Basketball Coach When a group of varying individuals come together to create something that previously did not exist through hard work, sacrifice and unselfishness, a feeling grows in the heart of the program, its people and the community that comes to share in celebrating this creation and growth. Our women's basketball program is a microcosm of the Athletics Division at the University of Dayton. We have accomplished great things but we are at a critical juncture in our history. We can take the leap unto the national stage with improved resources. In doing so, the University of Dayton will be admired and respected for the manner in which we achieve our success and have pride in the very thing we have all had a hand in creating. |

Yvonne Marten - Class of '12, Volleyball In the four years I've been here our program has continued to reach never-seen-before heights. Donations enable us to do everything from purchasing new shoes to last us through the postseason to traveling around the country to compete against other top-rated teams. Every little bit helps when it comes to getting us the tools we need to succeed. There is no doubt we receive a significant amount of support from our coaches and fans, but to know that someone is contributing money out of their own pocket is incredibly special to us. |

Chris Lemon - Class of '11, Men's Cross Country The University of Dayton has opened up many opportunities to my teammates and I. Many of my best memories from Dayton come from shared experiences with my teammates and coaches: wins and losses, shared goals and friendship. Continued support of Dayton's student-athletes will open up opportunities for the next generation of Flyers to succeed on and off the course, the field, or the court. The university's continued focus on student-athletes as high-performing individuals both in and out of the classroom and our athletic teams' continued successes prove that the Flyers are headed in the right direction. |
