Dayton Head Coach Brian Gregory
"We got some good basketball from a lot of our guys. It definitely wasn't an easy game. I told our guys going into it that Yale is a team we have to beat, they won't beat themselves. They are a very solid team. They kept attacking. We had stretches where we played very well and then there were times where we were deficient. We are a team that is evolving."
"We were able to attack the rim and our defensive pressure was key in the firs half. Our post players have to be more productive. It's something we need to work on. I like how Kurt (Huelsman) took it in a couple of times. Brian Roberts also played well but, because of his new leadership position he's handling the ball a lot more, so other guys had to step it up. Charles (Little) definitely played well. He is a tough match-up and has been working on his ball skills."
"We have two days to prepare for Louisville. It's a team with great tradition and has one of the best coaches in the history of college basketball. I think Cincinnati will be a great environment for us to play in. The team is excited. The game will be a challenge. Challenges are coming fast and furious this season with the high-caliber teams we are playing."
Dayton Guard Marcus Johnson
"It feels good to win tonight, especially coming off a loss. We did some good things tonight and came away with a victory."
"Some of the guys looked a little tired and I turned to Charles (Little) and told him we need to bring some energy and that's exactly what we did."
"Tomorrow, we're going to get in there and practice and get ready. It should be a good game and you have to prepare for them as much as possible."
"I just have to go out there and play my game. I've been playing basketball my whole life. Nothing should change."
Dayton Forward Charles Little
"We have been working on some plays and they were doubling down on B-Rob, so there were some open opportunities and I took advantage of that. I saw what they were doing to B-Rob on the ball screens. I saw there was an opening and I took advantage of that."
"They were spread out and when that happens you can hit the gaps. Tonight, my shot was there so I took it. Coach always tells me if there's an open shot to take it, so I took it. I'm trying to make the best of it and do anything to help the team win."
"They are a really good team. We just had to battle with them. We didn't play as well as we should have. It was a tough game."
"(Louisville) is a good team and I've seen them play a couple of times this year. We just have to come out, battle and hope for the best. It's a bigger atmosphere. They are high profile team and to play against them is another experience."
Yale Head Coach James Jones
"We had a much better second half, but you can't play for 26 minutes. We competed hard in the second half and put a scare in them, but that's not good enough."
