Recap |  Box Score |  Notes |  Photo Gallery

Dayton Head Coach Brian Gregory
"We did a good job at containing the three pointer and controlling Dunston. That was our game plan tonight."

On Warren Williams and Trent Meacham
"Our point guard play tonight was very good. We did a better job of taking care of the ball today as they had six assists and just a few turnovers."

"We had the ability to push the ball today a number of times, but they were smart in knowing when to speed things up and when to slow it down."

On Dayton's Rebounding
"Against GW on Sunday, we out rebounded them but they got the big ones in the end. We focused this week on rebounding even more than normal. Today we rebounded well throughout the game."

On Chris Alvarez
"He was worked more on scoring in the post and was more assertive today."

"You never know who is going to have a big night for us and tonight he played well in the paint."

On Fordham
"You saw tonight why they beat Xavier, Temple and Rhode Island. They are a good team."

"Derek (Whittenberg) has brought in players with a great amount of energy. He has them heading in the right direction and he has people who want to be there."

Dayton Freshman Trent Meacham
"We pulled some weight at the end. We executed on offense and when we scored it seemed to stop their rush a bit."

"It was nice that both Warren (Williams) and I had a good game at the point tonight."

"The Richmond game is going to be big for us and we are looking forward to the challenge."

Dayton Freshman Brian Roberts
"Sunday's loss was disappointing and we knew this one was important because we needed to bounce back."

"We knew Fordham was a challenge and we were able to get the win."

"We have not always able to finish games this year, but tonight we played well as a team down the stretch."

"Although we are in first place midway through the season, we are taking things one game at a time."

Dayton Freshman Chris Alvarez
"We picked up our defense, which helped us to execute on the offensive end."

"I have been working with Coach (Billy) Schmidt on being more aggressive on the offensive end and tonight it paid off."

"Richmond is a very good team. We have to keep going out a doing what we do best."

Fordham Head Coach Derek Whittenburg
"They outplayed us on both ends of the court and their bench was too deep for us to keep up."

"This is a tough building to win in especially with the young team that we have."

"The Dayton freshmen played a great game and they deserved to win."
