DAYTON MEN'S BASKETBALL TO TAKE EUROPEAN TOUR THIS SUMMER

The team will play two games in Amsterdam, one in Ghent, Belgium and two more in Paris on the tour.

The University of Dayton has announced that its men’s basketball team will take a 10-day international tour this summer. The Flyers will play five games in The Netherlands, Belgium and France from August 8-18.

"A trip like this has so many benefits," Dayton head coach Brian Gregory said. "We will have ten practice dates and five games to help us prepare for the season. And because we are going in August, our new players will be able to go without missing any class time. The guys on the team will be able to gain a lot from this unique experience; see a different part of the world, experience different cultures, and hopefully grow in our chemistry as a team.”

The team will play two games in Amsterdam, one in Ghent, Belgium and two more in Paris on the tour.

The University of Dayton’s Advancement and Development Office is sponsoring a trip to Europe concurrent with the basketball team’s tour through the University Travel Program. The University Travel Program’s itinerary includes the basketball games.  For more information, contact Pat Crews at travelprogram@udayton.edu.
