Biography:

 

At Dayton:
Dowd had a breakout 2012 season for the Flyers. He led the team with 8.5 sacks and was second on the team in tackles for loss with ten. Dowd also recorded 36 tackles and was named to the First Team All-Pioneer Football League. Dowd appeared in eight games at defensive end for the Flyers in 2011. He registered 11 total tackles, with one for a loss, and one Quarterback hurry. Dowd did not see any action during the 2010 season after redshirting as a freshman, but he was UD's Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year.

Personal:
Dowd was a two-time all-conference selection and a team captain at St. Ignatius. He was selected to play in the annual Cleveland East-West All-Star Game. Dowd is majoring in Business at UD.
