Pignatiello was the leading punter for the Flyers in 2012. He punted 65 times for 2428 yards with an average of 37.4 yards per punt. His longest punt was 63 yards, and he recorded three touchbacks. Pignatiello did not appear for the Flyers in 2011. He made the PFL Academic Honor Roll in 2011.
Personal:
Pignatiello was first team all-area, district, and state as a punter. He was a two- time All-Ohio selection as a punter. He is also a two-time all- conference defensive end in the Central Buckeye Conference. He has school records in career PATs (117), single season PATs (50), longest field goal (45 yards), career field goals (14). He holds the school record for best punting average in a season at 41 yards per punt and holds the best career average with better than 39 yards per punt. His father, Mike, was a kicker for the Flyers from 1980-1982. He scored 139 points (28th all time at UD). Mike is one of six Flyer kickers to be perfect on PATs in a season (41-41 in 1982). He was a member of the Division III national runner up team. Pignatiello is majoring in Sport Management. |
