GRAPEVINE, Texas – Quick response from former University of Dayton soccer standout Alex Torda and his co-worker and friend Kyle Smith helped save the life of a heart attack victim at an LA Fitness location in the Dallas – Fort Worth area.
Torda and Smith, employees of Cintas, were working out at the gym when Breuel collapsed on the racquetball court.

While at Dayton, Torda was a candidate for the 2008 Hermann Trophy, and earned NSCAA All-Region honors three times in his career. He finished his four-year career at Dayton with 24 goals, 11 assists and 59 points. The Dallas, Texas native graduated with a degree in entrepreneurship and finance at Dayton . He was a two-time CoSIDA First Team All-District IV selection as well as a two-time NSCAA/adidas Men's College Scholar All-America Team selection.
