EAST LANSING, Mich. – Seniors Chris Woeste and Jeff Hodapp each fired a second round 74 to help the University of Dayton Flyers place in second at the 2010 Fossum/Spartan Invitational.

Woeste and Hodapp each carded three birdies apiece to lead the Flyer attack. UD shot a 300 in the second round as a team, 14 strokes away from the tournament champion Michigan State Spartans.

Woeste and junior Michael Oberschmidt each tied for ninth overall. Oberschmidt followed up his strong first round with a 77 in round two. Hodapp tied for 16th among individuals.

Sophomore Brenten Blakeman also improved from round one shooting a 75 in the second round. Sophomore Sean Keating carded a 79 to round out the scoring.

Next up for the Flyers is the John Piper Intercollegiate in Bowling Green, Ohio. The two day event will take place from Sept. 27-28.
