For the third consecutive year, student-athletes from the University of Dayton men's and women's basketball teams, along with Santa Claus, visited children at the YMCA Day Care Center at the Grace United Methodist Church on Salem Avenue.

Freshman Tonya Conley read The Night Before Christmas to kick off the visit. The UD women's team then sang Jingle Bells along with all the children.

Associate Head Coach Billy Schmidt led the Flyer men's team in a fine rendition of We Wish You A Merry Christmas and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. Schmidt then introduced Santa Claus and the players helped distribute gifts to each child.

After opening their gifts the children talked and played with student-athletes and coaches from the Flyer men's and women's basketball teams.

Additionally, the daycare center was presented with two large baskets of books from the men's basketball staff and gift bags of games and play sets from the women's basketball staff.

The Flyers and the University of Dayton Department of Athletics would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
