New University of Dayton men’s basketball coach Archie Miller will conduct four sessions of the Archie Miller Basketball camp this summer.  Registration is now open for the Father/Son Camp June 18-19, a Day Camp June 20-23, a Team Camp June 25-26, and another Day Camp June 27-30.

The Father/son Camp will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 18 and conclude at 12 noon on Sunday, June 19.  The fee for the Father/Son Camp is $225, with $75 for each additional child.  The Day Camps run from 8:45 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  each day of the session.  Cost for the Day Camps are also $225.  High school coaches should contact the men’s basketball office at 937-229-4421 for more details on the Team Camp.

The Archie Miller Basketball Camps are designed to teach basketball fundamentals, encourage a love and appreciation for the game, and promote good sportsmanship.  The camp staff will include members of the UD coaching staff, current and former Flyer players, and college and high school coaches from across the country. 

The Father/Son Camp is open to parents with sons ages 7-18.  The Day Camps are open to all boys ages 8-18.  Campers will be grouped with boys of similar age based on the number of campers registered.

Miller came to UD from the University of Arizona, where he was Associate Head Coach.  He helped the Wildcats engineer one of the best turnarounds of any top program in the country improving by 14 wins from 16-15 in 2009-10 to 30-8 (and a berth in the Elite Eight) in 2010-11.  After a standout career at North Carolina State, he has coached in the ACC, the Big Ten and the PAC 10.
