2011 NCAA Division I OCSA All-Ohio Women's Team

The University of Dayton dominated the 2011 NCAA Division I Women’s Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) All-Ohio Team with five selections.

Senior defender Kathleen Beljan, sophomore midfielder Juliana Libertin, sophomore goalkeeper Jordin Melchert, freshman forward Kelsey Smigel and junior forward Colleen Williams were all voted All-Ohio.

The next closest teams were Miami, Ohio State and Toledo with three selections each.

Williams, who repeated as an NSCAA All-American this season, led UD and the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 16 goals and 15 assists.

Libertin also had a double-double with 10 goals and 10 assists. They were the only duo on the same team to have double digits in goals and assists in NCAA D-I women’s soccer.
Smigel had a rock-solid rookie season with 13 goals and five assists.

Dayton was the only NCAA D-I women’s soccer program in 2011 to have three players reach double digits in goals scored.

Melchert stepped in goal midway through the season and finished with a 9-1 record and a .80 GAA. She was named to the 2011 Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team.

Beljan closed out her career as one of the most decorated defenders in UD women’s soccer program history. She was the first ever female Flyer to be named to the coveted Hermann Trophy Watch List. Beljan also became Dayton’s first-ever NSCAA Women’s Scholar All-American First Team selection in 2010.

During her four year career, the Flyers went 69-14-8 – their .802 winning percentage is the seventh best in the nation. She is a three-time Atlantic 10 First Team selection, was the 2010 Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year and helped UD to 45 shutouts during her career.

The Flyers finished the 2011 season 19-4-0 with their third consecutive Atlantic 10 Tournament championship and third NCAA Tournament appearance.
