ABCA/Rawling All-Mideast Region Teams (PDF)
ATHENS, Ohio – Seniors Bobby Glover and Brian Blasik were named to the 2012 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Mideast Region teams on Monday.
Glover was named to the first team in the outfield and Blasik was named to the second team as a shortstop.
Glover was also named First Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference and Team MVP after hitting .322 and ranking among the top five in the A-10 in hits (82), runs scored (58), homeruns (9) and total bases (131). Glover was UD’s starting centerfielder in 118 of the last 119 games. On June 19 the Fort Wayne, Ind., native signed with the Windy City Thunderbolts of the independent Frontier League.
Blasik, a third-team Louisville Slugger All-American, was named to the ABCA/Rawling All-Mideast Region Second Team for the second consecutive season after finishing his time at Dayton with the third-highest career batting average (.348) and the program’s single-season and career stolen bases records. On June 10 the Germantown, Ohio native signed a undrafted free agent contract with the Houston Astros.

Gillman Signs Professional Contract
Senior C.J. Gillman signed a professional contract to play with the Windy City Thunderbolts on Monday, joining former UD teammate Glover. Gillman is the fifth of 10 graduating baseball seniors to sign with a professional contract this summer.
