SIEBENALLER EARNS USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC HONOR

NEW ORLEANS - University of Dayton’s Courtney Siebenaller was selected as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honorees for her success on the track and in the classroom.

Siebenaller owns the Atlantic 10 Indoor and Outdoor Pole Vault Records, in addition to UD’s outdoor pole vault record. She also ranks second all-time in UD’s indoor track history in the pole vault. Siebenaller was a three-time Atlantic 10 Indoor Champion in the pole vault and two-time A-10 Outdoor Champion in the Pole Vault.

She was also a 2011 Indoor & Outdoor Academic All-Atlantic 10 selection. Siebenaller ranked 59th in the nation in the pole vault during the ’12 Indoor season and was the recipient of UD’s Coaches Achievement Award in 2012. Siebenaller graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from UD this spring.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).

Siebenaller also received the award following the 2011 season.
