Dayton Flyers

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton softball team (21-28, 8-9 A-10) travels to Charlotte, N.C. for its final regular season games on Saturday, May 5 against the Charlotte 49ers (27-23, 9-9 A-10).

Dayton is in the sixth and final spot for the A-10 Tournament, while Charlotte is fifth place.

The Flyers are coming off of a 2-2 weekend in which they split with the Fordham Rams and the La Salle Explorers at UD Softball Stadium.

Senior Brandy Brown is hitting .340 and has nine doubles and 20 RBI.  Senior Lauren Nacke is tied for second in A-10 Softball History with 41 career home runs. She needs five more to surpass Fordham’s Jocelyn Dearborn who had 45 homers during her career.

Charlotte’s Briana Gwaltney leads the 49ers with 40 RBI and is hitting .325.  Kalie Lang has 26 RBI and 11 doubles for a .268 average.
