Thomas proved to be one of the best middle distance runners at UD. She ran in five different individual events for the Flyers during the indoor season. Thomas set personal bests in the 600m (1:38.48) at the Indiana University Relays, the 1,000m (3:11.79) at the Doug Raymond Invite and the 500m (1:17.10) at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships during the prelims. She would go on to finish in sixth overall. Thomas continued to run well in the outdoor season. She was a vital member of the 4x400 relay crew that would place fifth at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships. She also set personal bests in the 400m (57.88) and the 800m (2:16.99).
Thomas looked to bolster an already strong middle distance crew for the Flyers. In her first collegiate indoor season she would run a personal best in the 500m and compete in the 800m and 4x800m relays for the Flyers. Her 500m time came at the Findlay Indoor Track and Field Classic where she placed first overall. She was also a member of the 4x800m relays team that would place second at this meet in a time of 9:34.07. During her outdoor campaign Thomas set new personal bests in the 400m (1:01.32) and 800m (2:21.74). The 400m best came at the Miami Invitational with the later time being recorded at the Alabama Relays.
She brings to the team plenty of experience at the state-level, where she was a competitor in her last season in the 800 and 4x400 relay. In her last season, Thomas broke a 16 year-old school record with her personal record of 2:16 in the 800 and also went undefeated during her regular season in the event. She is also a four-time district qualifier in the swimming pool.
