The Frericks Center hosts a matchup of two teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season Tuesday as Dayton (5-9, 1-1 A-10) faces Eastern Kentucky (10-3, 2-0 OVC) in a non-conference match at 7 p.m. The Flyers have won the Atlantic 10 Conference each of the past two years while the Colonels took the Ohio Valley Conference Crown last season. Fans can follow the match live with Gametracker and live audio on www.DaytonFlyers.com.

Dayton has depended upon its talented sophomore class for a majority of its offensive and defensive production this season. The Flyer sophomores have accounted for 433 of Dayton's 884 kills (49.0%), 1195 of the 2288 attack attempts (52.2%), 510 of the 854 digs (59.7%), 52 of the 80 service aces (65.0 %) and 91 of the 135 blocks (67.4%).

In 2005, sophomore Robynne Green leads the Flyers with 26 service aces (T-4th in the A-10 at 0.45 sapg) and is second on the roster with 3.00 kills per game.

Her twin sister Adrienne Green leads UD with 3.39 digs per game this season. She has tallied double figures in digs 10 times this season including 22 in the win over Missouri State and 21 in the season-opening victory over Bradley.

Although sophomore Angela Rueve is one of the shortest players in the country at 5-2 she has played a big role in Dayton's defense this season. After joining the Flyers as a mid-season walk-on last year, Rueve is averaging 2.15 digs per game this season, which is good for fourth on the team. |
