2012 DAYTON VOLLEYBALL CAMP INFORMATION

Two-time A-10 Coach of the Year Kelly Sheffield has led the Flyers to the NCAA Tournament in all four seasons as head coach at Dayton.

CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
Dayton volleyball is pleased to offer seven summer camps to choose from. Included in the camp package are a camp t-shirt, water bottle, and additional University of Dayton Volleyball products.

Setter Camp (for girls in grades 6-12)
July 7, 2012 - 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Each camper will get a comprehensive overview of setting including specific skill breakdown from hands to feet. Campers will receive thousands of setting reps and will be trained on advanced ideas and thought processes specific to being an elite setter.

UD Flight School Overnight Camp (for girls in grades 9-12)
July 8-10, 2012 
This is the true "Flyer" Experience! Players will train and condition like the Flyers, learn more about being a complete player with classroom, BEACH!, and on-court sessions, and enjoy the same on-campus living and dining arrangements as members of the UD Volleyball Team.

UD Overnight Team Camp (for girls in grades 9-12)
July 11-13, 2012
It's time to lace 'em up and prepare for the 2012 high school season. Coaches will be working to take your team to the next level by introducing advanced skills and competitive multi-player drills. In addition, teams will compete against each other in wash drills and match situations to strengthen teamwork and confidence heading into August. Take this great opportunity to not only improve your skills individually, but also to build team chemistry before fall camp opens! Each team will be assigned 2-3 court coaches who will prepare training schedules geared specifically toward their team needs.

Hitter Camp (for girls in grades 6-12)
July 14, 2012 - 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Each camper will get a comprehensive overview of hitting with specific time dedicated to positions (outside hitter/middle blocker/right side hitter). Coaches will train each player on advanced ideas and thought processes specific to being an elite attacker.

Libero Camp (for girls in grades 6-12)
July 15, 2012 - 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Each camper will get a comprehensive overview of the libero position, including specific skill execution, reps, and advanced techniques. Coaches will train each player on advanced ideas and thought processes specific to being an elite libero.

Little Flyers Camp (For boys and girls age 5 thru grade 5)
July 16-18, 2012 - 9 a.m. - Noon
This camp is geared toward the beginner or players in the early development of their game. An emphasis will be placed on learning each volleyball skill in a fun-filled environment. The Little Flyers camp will be a half-day camp and will correspond with the All-Skills Camp.

All-Skills Day Camp (for girls in grades 6-8)
July 16-18, 2012 - 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
This camp is designed for players interested in learning more about volleyball. All of the basic skills (passing, hitting, blocking, serving, defense, etc.) will be covered as each camper will be pushed to improve daily and learn some advanced techniques. This is the perfect camp for players looking to fine-tune their skills with school tryouts right around the corner.
