Jamie Peterson have been named the
Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week after both recently received All-America honors for their efforts during the 2021 season.
Chisholm, who hails from Union, Kentucky, became the first Flyer student-athlete since 2003 to earn All-America status and be named First Team Academic All-America in the same season. He was named Third Team All-American by HERO Sports on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, repeated as a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-America selection. Chisholm is the only junior named First Team Academic All-America this season. The Flyer co-captain carries a 3.98 GPA in pre-med, with minors in biology, chemistry and medicine In society.
For the third-consecutive season Peterson was recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on one of its postseason All-America rosters. Peterson was named to the Honorable Mention All-America Team as announced by the AVCA Wednesday. Also a three-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and AVCA Midwest Region Player of the Year, Peterson led the team this season with 4.29 kills/set (28th NCAA) and 5.09 points/set (17th NCAA) while also serving up 0.37 aces/set. The West Liberty, Ohio, native finished her career at Dayton with 1,471 kills which ranks seventh in program history.
