College Football Performance Awards Link
University of Dayton senior running back Connor Kacsor has been named Football Championship Subdivision National Running Back Performer of the Week for his play in Dayton's 41-7 victory over Morehead State Saturday at Welcome Stadium. The award is given weekly by College Football Performance Awards, a scientifically-based awards system.

Kacsor logged 232 yards on just 10 carries against the Eagles, scoring four touchdowns. He began his impressive day the first time he touched the ball, going 52 yards for a touchdown to give the Flyers a lead they never relinquished.

He added touchdown runs of 11 and 63 yards on his way to first-half totals of 167 yards and three touchdowns.

Kacsor opened up the second half with a four-yard rush before breaking for a 61-yard touchdown run on the very next play, giving him his totals of 232 yards and four touchdowns, and earning him the rest of the game off.
His performance raised his season rushing statistics to 958 yards and 11 touchdowns in six games. His 159.7 yards-per-game average is good for first in the Pioneer Football League and second in all of FCS football. His 301 yards to open the season against Georgetown still stand as the best single-game performance in the FCS this season.

Kacsor was also named PFL Offensive Player of the Week by both the conference itself and CollegeSportsMadness.com.

Dayton heads to San Diego this week for Saturday's game against the USD Toreros. The game is set to kick off at 9 p.m. ET. The Flyers' next home game is Nov. 1 against Valparaiso.
