Flyers Enter National Preseason Poll Ranked 22nd

Complete Poll

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's basketball is ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press' Top 25 national poll as announced Thursday, Oct. 30. The Flyers have now been ranked or receiving votes in at least one major poll (Associated Press or USA Today Coaches' Top 25 Polls) for 39 consecutive weeks.

Connecticut received all 35 first-place votes as a unanimous pick for No. 1.

Dayton received votes in the final Coaches' Poll last season and was last seen receiving votes in the AP Poll during week 18 (March 3, 2014).

The Flyers were a unanimous pick to win the Atlantic 10 Conference in 2014-15 and lost only one player to graduation after last year. 2014 A-10 Player of the Year Andrea Hoover and fellow senior Ally Malott were both voted to the A-10 Preseason First Team while junior Amber Deane earned Second Team honors and sophomore Celeste Edwards was named to both the Third Team and the All-Defensive Team.

On Friday, November 7, Dayton will play host to Eckerd College in exhibition action at University of Dayton Arena. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. and admission is FREE. This will be an opportunity for our fans to bring family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to the game so they too can experience what Dayton women's basketball had to offer.
