Hoover and fellow junior Ally Malott were both named A-10 First Team and All-Academic Team selections. 

Freshman Celeste Edwards was named to the All-Rookie and All-Defensive Teams for the Flyers. 

Hoover, a guard from Bellbrook, Ohio, led UD in scoring with 16.9 ppg (4th in the A-10). She is fourth in the nation in free throw percentage, making 94.6 percent at the line (105-of-111). She becomes just the second UD women's basketball player to earn A-10 First Team honors in consecutive seasons (Justine Raterman was the first in 2011 and 2012). Hoover was named the 2012 A-10 Rookie of the Year. Hoover also repeated as an All-Academic Team selection, the only sophomore to earn the honor last year.

Malott, a forward from Middletown, Ohio, leads the Flyers in rebounding with 8.2 rpg (5th in A-10) and is second in scoring for UD with 14.5 ppg (9th in A-10). She is one of two players in the conference to be in the Top 10 in scoring and Top 5 in rebounding. Malott was a Second Team selection as a sophomore and was named to the All-Rookie team as a freshman. 

Edwards, a point guard from Indianapolis, Ind., is the only freshman on the A-10 Defensive Team. It marks the first time that a freshman has been named to the team since 2006-07, when Amber Harris, graduate of Xavier and current WNBA player, earned the honor. This is the third consecutive season the Flyers have had a player named to the All-Rookie Team, and fifth time in the last six years. Edwards earned her first start on Jan. 26 and since has scored in double figures every game but one, including a career-high 25 points vs. Richmond. In that time she also leads the Flyers in steals. She was named Rookie of the Week twice this season.

No. 21 Dayton will begin action in the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship Friday, March 7 at noon vs. the winner of the No. 8 seed VCU/No. 9 seed Richmond game. The Flyers (21-6) are the No. 1 seed and back-to-back A-10 Regular Season Champions. UD won the A-10 Tournament Championship in 2012. Shane White will have the call on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.

The four quarterfinal winners advance to Semifinal Saturday with games at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. live on CBS Sports Network. 

The two winners from Saturday will meet in the Finals at 11 a.m. on Sunday with the winner receiving the A-10's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Tournament. The Finals will air live on ESPNU.
