HORSMON ADDS ONE MORE FOR 2014 ROSTER IN KELSEY OSGOOD

Osgood Fifth Newcomer for the Upcoming Season

DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton volleyball has added one more to his fall 2014 roster as announced by head coach Tim Horsmon. Kelsey Osgood is the fifth newcomer to join the Flyer program for Horsmon's first season back at the helm of the program.

"I think Kelsey is going to be a great competitor in our program," said Horsmon. "Every coach that we have spoken to about her says she is a tireless worker and plays hard no matter the situation. She has found a great program to enjoy an atmosphere where that is the expectation every day. Kelsey competed in a highly competitive California high school program and played for Club H. She will compete immediately as a passer and defender this year."

Osgood will round out a five-person freshman class as she is set to join Jane Emmenecker, Amber Erhahon, Maggie Schutter and Jessica Sloan on the 2014 Flyer roster.

Osgood, a native of Long Beach, California, spent her prep career at Los Alamitos High School and helped lead the Griffins to a CIF Division I State Runner-Up finish her senior year. She earned Sportsmanship Award accolades for her play in the state championship and was also a CIF State of California Recipient of Victory with Honor Award winner.

Most recently, Osgood competed with Club H at the AAU level, will be in Minnesota for the Junior Olympic Nationals this summer and she has also played club sand volleyball, qualifying for AAU Nationals at 14.
