Dayton 8, Tennessee Tech 3

The Flyers (2-2) finished up their play in the Kennesaw Classic when they faced Tennessee Tech (1-2) on Sunday.  The bats came alive right away for the Flyers.  Tennessee Tech got out to a 2-0 lead on Dayton in the top of the first.  The Flyers then got five hits and four runs in the bottom of the first, including the Flyer's first homerun of the season by senior Natalie Mariano, who hit a two-run homer.  Mariano went 2-for-3 at the plate on Sunday, and 6-for-12 over the entire weekend.

Freshman Jaclyn Kweder went 2-for-3 at the plate and Gabrielle Snyder went 2-for-4.  Junior Kennedy Haynes tallied the Flyers second homerun of the season.  She went 2-for-3 with two RBI's.

The Flyers will be in action next on Friday, February 20 when they participate in the 49er Invitational hosted by Charlotte.  Dayton will play Rider and Charlotte on Friday, Charlotte and Western Carolina on Saturday, and close out the weekend playing Rider again.
