DAYTON, Ohio - Former University of Dayton defensive back and Wisconsin native Kyle Sebetic has been signed by his hometown Green Bay Packers the team announced on Wednesday.
 
He was signed after taking part in the inaugural NFL veterans combine on Monday in Tempe, Ariz.
 
Sebetic spent part of the 2014-15 NFL season on the New York Giants practice squad after training with the team for the entire offseason.  He has not yet seen any regular season action.
 
Sebetic was a four-year starter for the Flyers, and finished his career with 206 tackles, five interceptions, and 28 pass break-ups, including 15 in 2012, which led the NCAA FCS in passes defensed.
 
He was also a team captain, was selected First Team All-PFL in 2013, and was named to the 2013 PFL Academic Honor Roll. 
 
Sebetic will look to become the first Dayton football player to play a regular season game in the NFL since 1975.  Thirty-eight Flyers have played in the NFL, none have ever played for the Packers.
