ATLANTA - University of Dayton women's basketball's senior Andrea Hoover has been named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Region nominee for the 2015 WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team. The selection committee will select the 10-member WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team from these 52 candidates.

The Bellbrook, Ohio, native was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First and Academic Teams for the third consecutive season in 2015, was twice named to the Naismith Trophy early-season 50-player watch list, was one of 30 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award and was honored with the Charles R. Hendall Memorial Award at the annual OASSA Scholar-Athlete Awards Reception - recognizes an individual student-athlete who has demonstrated achievement in academic and athletic effort.

Hoover ranks fifth all-time in Dayton history with 1,809 points, second with 414 made free throws, ninth with 338 assists and 10th with 580 made field goals. She is the program's all-time leading three-point shooter with 235 made and boasts Dayton's best career three-point field goal percentage at .396.

The selection committee uses an equation to determine a fair number of nominees from each region. The number of Division I institutions in each region is divided by the number of Division I institutions overall to determine a percentage for each region., This percentage is then multiplied by 52 (the total number of desired finalists) to get the number of finalists for each region.

The 2015 WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team will be announced at 1:10 p.m. ET Saturday April 4, during NCAA® Women's Final Four® Super Saturday festivities in Amalie Arena.
