RICHMOND, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference held its annual women's basketball media day in Richmond on Monday and released its preseason rankings and all-conference teams.

The Flyers were picked as the preseason favorites, receiving 182 points and eight first-place votes. This is coming off the 2016-17 season in which Dayton won both the regular season and tournament titles in the A-10.

Saint Louis was tabbed to finish as runners-up and received three first-place votes, followed by Saint Joseph's, Duquesne, and Fordham.

On the individual teams, Dayton senior guard Jenna Burdette was named preseason first team all-conference. Redshirt senior forward Alex Harris was also honored, after being named to the all-defensive team.

Head coach Shauna Green was on hand at media day to talk with different media outlets, conference representatives, and spoke on behalf of the coaches at the A-10 luncheon held at the Marriott in downtown Richmond.

The Flyers will open up the 2017-18 season with an exhibition on Nov. 4 at UD Arena against Findlay. Tip-off is at 2 p.m. The regular season begins at the Maine Tournament with Harvard on Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. in Orono, Maine.

Dayton is coming off a 2016-17 season in which the Flyers went 22-10, picked up a pair of conference titles, and advanced to the NCAA Division I Tournament.
