NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its 2017 Women's Soccer All-Conference awards today. 

University of Dayton senior forward Alexis Kiehl was named the 2017 Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year, in addition to being named to the A-10 First Team for the third consecutive season. 

Junior defender Nadia Pestell was named to the A-10 Second Team. Senior defender Nicolette Griesinger was selected to the A-10 All-Academic Team.

Kiehl, from Cincinnati, was named a Senior CLASS Award Top 10 Finalist, as well as being selected to the 2017 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. She is a three-time A-10 First Team selection and has twice been named to the A-10 All-Championship Team. She has 45 goals in her career (tied for fourth all-time at UD), including an A-10 best 12 this season; and she led the nation in scoring last season. Kiehl (45 goals, 21 assists) is just the ninth Flyer to amass more than 20 goals and 20 assists in her career.

Pestell, from Waterloo, Ontario, lead the Flyers with six assists this season which is tied for fourth-best in the A-10. She was named to the 2016 A-10 All-Championship Team and to the 2017 A-10 Preseason First Team. The three-year starter has played 4,768 minutes on defense for the Flyers and been part of 15 shutouts in her career.

Griesinger, of Strongsville, Ohio, is a middlehood childhood education major with concentrations in math and science. She is second on the team in field minutes played this season with 1,703 and has helped UD to seven shutouts. She was named to the 2016 A-10 All-Championship team and also Academic All-Ohio. She was also a member of the 2014 A-10 All-Rookie Team. She is a two-year member of Dayton's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee; and six-time member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and University of Dayton Dean's List. She's been a part of 22 shutouts and played 5,622 minutes in her career.
