DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's basketball program has announced that junior forward
Ashleigh Parkinson will sit out the remainder of the season due to injury.
Parkinson injured her ACL during the Arkansas-Pine Bluff game on Nov. 25 at UD Arena. She had appeared in five games this season.
"I absolutely hate to see anyone have a season-ending injury," said head coach
Shauna Green. "Ashleigh is an integral piece to our team and we will miss her on the floor the rest of this season. Ash is a really tough-minded person and she is already tackling this injury the way I knew she would. She will be back and better than ever soon."
The timetable for Parkinson's return is to be determined.
Dayton hosts Green Bay on Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. for School Day.
