NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its end-of-the-year women's basketball awards on Tuesday and recognized four University of Dayton student-athletes for their accomplishments this season.

Redshirt senior Kelley Austria received a trio of honors after being named A-10 Defensive Player of the Year as well as to the All-Conference Second Team and All-Defensive Team. The Beavercreek, Ohio, native was named Preseason All-Defensive Team for the second time going into the season, and with 47 steals and 10 blocks in 28 games, she earned one of the three main individual honors. She was also named to the All-Defensive team as a junior.

Fellow senior Saicha Grant-Allen was also named All-Conference Second Team and All-Defensive Team. The 6-5 center recorded 33 blocks and grabbed 139 defensive rebounds after playing in all 28 games for the Flyers. She was picked Third Team All-Atlantic 10 in the preseason poll.

Junior Jenna Burdette also earned Second Team All-Conference honors despite missing five games due to injury. The Coolville, Ohio, native averaged 12.0 points and 4.7 assists per game while leading Dayton to a share of the A-10 regular season championship. This is the second A-10 honor for Burdette, who was tabbed as a Third Team All-Conference honoree as a sophomore.

Rounding out the awards was freshman guard Jayla Scaife, who was named to the All-Rookie Team. Scaife played in 24 games for the Flyers, averaging 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. The Muncie, Ind., native highlighted the year with a career-high 16 points in the win at Saint Louis on Jan. 15. She scored in double figures on six different occasions in her debut season at UD.

Saint Louis' Jackie Kemph earned A-10 Player of the Year honors while Massachusetts' Hailey Leidel was named A-10 Rookie of the Year and La Salle's Jeff Williams was named A-10 Coach of the Year.
