FINDLAY, Ohio – The University of Dayton track team concluded action at the two-day Findlay Indoor Track and Field Classic and Elite Throws.
Coach Jason Ordway's Quotes:
"We had a very nice finish to our meet at the University of Findlay. Our throwers got a chance to compete against a national caliber field and gained some great experience in the rings. Our vaulters had a very solid outing. Kim and Leah are dialing in their distances and poles and we're very excited to have
Emily Jones back and healthy making jumps and hitting heights.
Our sprints and jumps crew had a nice outing and starting to really get more consistent.
Corey Rinella had a very nice first pentathlon. We found some things we can work on, but she surprised us and herself in a few areas. It was fun to watch.
We had a chance to race our distance squad in some new races and welcome back
Grace McDonald and
Emma Jankowski from some time off with a 1 and 3 finish in the 800. Abbie Vanfossen, Tori Stallkamp, and
Kelly Wilker all finished in the Top 5 in the 3000, 1000, and mile respectively.
As a team, our performances are getting much more consistent. We're looking forward to competing at Akron next weekend."
