Dayton head coach Brian Gregory

"The last three days of practice we worked out all the issues we saw in the Northwood game. I think we played much better tonight. Georgetown's defense was really good but, our defense was good too. We wore them down and really turned it on in the second half. The one thing I thought about today's game is that it was a much better pace for us as a team. We can't force tempo but, we got them out of their rhythm. We played extremely well. Our concentration level was also great today. Altogether, our pace was much better."

"After today's game the first thing we need to talk about is where we need to go from here. What do we need to work on? Roles are being defined on the team and things are changing. I like where we are headed. Heading into our next game we have to do what we did to prepare for this game."

"We shot the ball well. Our offensive was good tonight because our defense played well. Both point guards played. Brian Roberts showed the type of player he is by scoring 25 points. He had to make a lot of plays and lots of decisions. He was very aggressive to score. Monty Scott held it together for us in the first half. I'm not surprised at the things we saw tonight. I was please to see them, but not surprised. When the players put on the uniform they play with everything they have. That is what Flyer fans expect."

"We played seven players for more than 20 minutes. Those guys earned that time. They will let us know if they need a sub. You don't see that often but, they are the best judge of whether or not they can do their job. It's about being selfless and playing for the best interest of the team."

"Watching and reading about Georgetown College I knew they were a talented team. They went toe-to-toe with University of Louisville last week. I told our team that this game would be a test. We did well. We didn't execute all of our stuff, but we handled multiple things very well. The guys on the team are embracing the things it takes to be a good team."
