MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

DAYTON - A 16-game Atlantic 10 Conference schedule, 17 home games, four games in the Las Vegas Holiday Classic and two exhibition games highlight the University of Dayton's men's basketball schedule, which was announced today.

UD's A-10 schedule includes home-and-home games with new conference members Charlotte and Saint Louis and traditional arch-rival Xavier. Two of the remaining three Atlantic teams who played in the post-season - Saint Joseph's and Temple - will visit UD Arena, along with Duquesne, Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure. The Flyers will travel to Fordham, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts and Richmond.

Dayton's 14-game non-conference schedule had already been announced. It features 11 games against teams that return at least three starters from last season, and seven contests with teams that played in the postseason last year.

UD will open its third season under head coach Brian Gregory on Friday, November 18 when Ohio Valley Conference regular season champion Tennessee Tech visits UD Arena. Dayton goes on the road for the first time in 2005-06 the very next game, heading to Oxford to play Miami on Monday, November 21.

The Flyers return home to face Morehead State on Wednesday, November 23 before playing back-to-back NCAA teams--Creighton on Saturday, November 26 and Cincinnati on Tuesday, November 29--to close out November.

Dayton then plays six straight games at home to begin the month of December. UD will host Pepperdine on Thursday, December 1, Grambling on Saturday, December 3, Central Michigan on Wednesday, December 7 and DePaul on Saturday, December 10 in the first 10 days of the month.

The Flyers' last two games of the homestand will be in the Las Vegas Holiday Classic. UD plays Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday, December 17 and Florida A&M on Monday, December 19. The Las Vegas Holiday Classic plays the first two rounds of its tournament on campus sites before bringing all eight teams in the tournament to Las Vegas for games on Thursday, December 22 and Friday, December 23. Dayton will play Cincinnati on the 22nd and Northern Iowa on the 23rd.

UD will complete the non-conference schedule at home on Friday, December 30 against Vanderbilt.

Dayton's Atlantic 10 schedule will start with a road game against Fordham on Wednesday, January 4. UD is home vs. Charlotte (1/7), at Richmond (1/14), and then home for three straight games vs. Temple (1/18), Duquesne (1/21) and St. Bonaventure (1/25).

The Flyers then embark on the toughest stretch of the season, playing three of four on the road against some of the toughest teams in the conference. They are at Xavier (1/28), back home against Saint Joseph's (2/1) and at Charlotte (2/4) and George Washington (2/8).

Dayton returns home to face Saint Louis on Saturday, February 11. UD plays at La Salle on Saturday, February 18, before the Flyers take on Xavier at the Arena on Tuesday, February 21. Two straight away games are next-at Massachusetts (2/25) and at Saint Louis (3/1),

UD closes out the regular season at home against Rhode Island on Saturday, March 4.

The Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship Tournament will be played at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati March 8-11.

The Flyers will play two exhibition games at UD Arena against NCAA Division II teams. Dayton will square off against Central State Capital, on Saturday, November 5. The second exhibition game will be with Findlay on Saturday, November 12.

The regular season schedule has the Flyers playing 13 games on Saturdays (7 home, 6 road), eight games on Wednesdays (5 home, 3 road), three on Fridays (2 home, 1 away), and two on Monday (1 home, 1 road), two on Tuesdays (1 home, 1 road) and two on Thursdays (1 home, 1 away).

Game times and a TV schedule will be announced at a later date.
