DAYTON, Ohio - After coming off a strong race last week, University of Dayton sophomore and two-time Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week Mike Andersen broke UD's 8K record yet again and placed first at the Spiked Shoe Invite at Penn State on Saturday morning. The Michigan native helped lead his team to an eighth place finish at the meet.

Andersen finished first out of 297 runners at the 5.2 mile event. Although Andersen's final time was 25:47, he crossed the 8K split (5-mile marker) at 24:45; improving his time from last week by 10 seconds and setting yet another school record for the second week in a row.
