PETE CHRISTOFF NAMED ASSISTANT MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COACH

DAYTON, OH - University of Dayton head coach Rich Davis announced that Pete Christoff will serve as volunteer assistant coach for the men's cross country team.

"The men's cross country team will benefit from the enthusiasm Pete brings to the training sessions. His positive inspiration strengthens the motivation that drives each of our student-athletes towards improvement. Pete's knowledge and experience in endurance events, along with his awareness of the background of our personnel, is a viable force toward the achievement of our goals."

Christoff graduated from the University of Dayton in 2005 with an Master's of Business Administration and a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Finance. This fall he will continue his formal education as a law student the University of Dayton School of Law.

This is his first season as a coach of the Men's Cross Country team at UD, having previously coached cross country and track at Carroll High School, his alma mater. Since graduating, he has continued training and has completed many road races and several marathons including Cincinnati, Columbus, and Boston. He has completed many Olympic distance triathlons including Chicago, Louisville, and Ironman Wisconsin.

Christoff replaces Brian Ream, who had been with the Men's Cross country program as an athlete or coach since 1994. Ream has moved his residence to Boulder, Colorado.
