CAMPBELL GARNERS THIRD-CONSECUTIVE A-10 FIRST TEAM HONORS

Krakfa and Hannan Also Recognized in End-of-Season Voting

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - University of Dayton volleyball senior Megan Campbell has been named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team for the third consecutive year as announced by the conference office in voting conducted among league coaches. Sophomore Janna Krafka earned mention on the All-Conference Honorable Mention roster while Campbell and junior Isolde Hannan were both named to the A-10 All-Academic Team.

Duquesne, Saint Louis and VCU claimed the top Atlantic 10 volleyball end-of-season awards, which were announced Thursday ahead of the 2013 A-10 Volleyball Championship, which begins Friday at George Washington University.

VCU sophomore outside hitter Romana Kriskova was named the league's Player of the Year and her teammate, junior libero Amanda Love, was selected as the A-10's Libero of the Year. Duquesne sophomore setter Mary Henry garnered Setter of the Year honors while her coach Steve Opperman was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year. Freshman Danielle Rygelski, an outside hitter from Saint Louis earned Rookie of the Year honors.

The league also announced the All-Conference, All-Rookie and All-Academic teams. The top awards, All-Conference and All-Rookie were selected by a vote of the A-10 nine head coaches. The All-Academic team was selected by a vote from the A-10's volleyball media relations directors.

Campbell finished the 2013 regular season ranked 19th in the nation with a league-leading 1.39 blocks/set while hitting at a .338 clip (6th A-10) to go with 2.78 kills/set (10th A-10). She picked up four Atlantic 10 Player or Defensive Player of the Week nods this year. This is also the third consecutive year Campbell has been named to the Academic All-Conference Team as well.

Krafka, a 2012 A-10 All-Rookie Team member, leads the team and ranks second in the A-10 this season with 4.27 digs/set. Hannan was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 21 and this is her first All-Academic Team nod after earning mention on the 2011 A-10 All-Rookie roster.
