2015 WOMEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Flyers Face A Tough Non-Conference Schedule To Prepare For A-10 Play

DAYTON, Ohio - The 2015 University of Dayton women's soccer schedule is set. It includes four teams who qualified for the 2014 NCAA tournament and a non-conference schedule comprising of opponents from six different conferences (Conference USA, Atlantic Sun, Big Ten, Horizon League, SEC, and Big West).

Dayton will begin its 2015 with Florida International in Miami, Fla. on Friday, Aug. 21 before facing last year's Atlantic Sun conference champions, Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday, Aug. 23 in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Flyers will return home for their 2015 Baujan Field debut against in-state rival Ohio State on Thursday, Aug. 27, the first of three consecutive Big Ten opponents for UD.

The homecoming for Dayton will be short-lived however, as the Flyers are set to travel for a matchup against Michigan State on Aug. 30. After returning from East Lansing, the Flyers will begin a four-game homestand, including vs. Nebraska on Sept. 4 and Wright State on Sept. 6.

The homestand will conclude with two of last year's NCAA tournament participants, Rice and Texas A&M, on Sept. 11 and Sept. 13, respectively.  Texas A&M advanced to the Final Four this past season.

Non-conference play for the Flyers will conclude with a trip out west to California against two Big West Conference foes.  They will face Cal Poly on Sept. 18 and UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 20.

For the second straight year, Dayton opens up Atlantic 10 play against Saint Louis as they will travel to face the Billikens on Oct. 1. The Flyers will then come back to Baujan Field for consecutive home matches vs. George Mason on Oct. 4 and Davidson on Oct. 8.

Dayton then faces the challenge of back-to-back road games against the Atlantic 10's top two teams from last season with VCU on Oct. 11 and La Salle on Oct. 15, who went undefeated in regular season conference play a year ago.

The Flyers are set to host Fordham on Oct. 18 before heading back on the road to face Rhode Island on Oct. 22. The following week, Dayton will play its last home matches for the regular season as they take on St. Bonaventure on Oct. 25 and its Baujan Field season finale versus Duquesne on Oct. 29. The regular season will come to a close on Nov. 1 with a trip east against Massachusetts.

The 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship will be hosted by the Wildcats in Davidson, N.C.  from Nov. 5-8. The Flyers have won nine A-10 tournament championships, including in 2014.
