NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - University of Dayton volleyball placed seven players on 2016 Atlantic All-Conference Teams and had three earn end-of-season awards. Junior Jane Emmenecker was named the league's Setter of the Year for the third-consecutive season while sophomore Margo Wolf was named Libero of the Year. Dayton head coach Tim Horsmon was tabbed A-10 Coach of the Year, also for the third-consecutive time and the fourth time of his career.

Saint Louis senior Danielle Rygelski was named Player of the Year while Fordham freshman Olivia Fairchild earned Rookie of the Year honors.

The Atlantic 10 announced the five awards along with the All-Conference, All-Rookie and All-Academic teams Thursday prior to the 2016 A-10 Volleyball Championship that begins Friday at Chaifetz Pavilion in St. Louis, Mo. The major awards, All-Conference Teams and All-Rookie Team were voted on by the A-10's head volleyball coaches. The All-Academic team was selected by the volleyball media relations directors. 

A junior from Perrysburg, Ohio, Emmenecker was named A-10 Setter of the Year for the third-consecutive season. She ranked first in the A-10 in assists per set, averaging 11.1.  She also led an offense that ranked first in overall and conference-only hitting percentage and finished first in overall and conference-only kills per set.  

Wolf, a sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio, earned A-10 Libero of the Year honors after finishing the season first in the A-10 in overall digs per set averaging 5.12, and second in the A-10 in with 4.88 digs per set in league play. She was also named the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week on four occasions this season.

Horsmon won his third straight Coach of the Year award after leading Dayton to its third consecutive A-10 regular season title and a perfect 14-0 record to earn the championship's top seed.

Juniors Jessica Sloan and Amber Erhahon along with sophomore Kendyll Brown joined Emmenecker on the All-Conference First Team. Wolf earned mention on the Second Team and while freshman Jamie Peterson was named to the All-Rookie squad. Junior Maggie Schutter and Wolf were named to the All-Academic Team for their work both on the court and in the classroom.

The 2016 Atlantic 10 Volleyball Championship begins Friday with two matches between No. 3 Saint Louis and No. 6 Davidson in the first quarterfinal and No. 4 Duquesne and No. 5 VCU in the second quarterfinal. No. 1 Dayton and No. 2 Rhode Island will face the two winners in Saturday's semifinals. The championship final will be played Sunday at 2:30 pm ET. The opening round will be streamed on the A-10 Network while the semifinals and final will air live on American Sports Network (ASN).
