DAYTON – University of Dayton tennis coach
Ryan Meyer has announced the signing of two Ohio prep players for the men's team on Thursday, as Parker Banning and Noah Connaughton are set to join the Flyers in 2017-18.
Banning, a Chagrin Falls, Ohio, native, will join the Flyers after completing a decorated career at Kenston High School. He has a record of 38-15 combined in singles in doubles during his prep career, and was the Chagrin Valley Conference singles champion as a sophomore.Â
Connaughton is from Hamilton, Ohio and competes at Badin High School. He was an All-Ohio First Team performer as a junior, has won the Greater Catholic League MVP award twice, and has been a four-time team captain for the Rams. Noah, who has letter all four years at Badin, owns the school record for wins by a tennis player at 100 and counting.
The men's tennis program is in the midst of one of its best runs as a program, having won 40 matches in the last three seasons.Â
