#UDWTEN ANNOUNCES SIGNING OF PLIEMAN AND WOODS

DAYTON – University of Dayton tennis coach Ryan Meyer has announced the signing of Kelly Plieman and Zoe Woods to national letters of intent to play as members of the Flyers' women's program, beginning in 2017.

Plieman, who attends nearby Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School, has had a decorated career that includes first-team All-State honors, a fourth place individual finish in state singles, and the Greater Catholic League Player of the Year in 2016. She's been a member of the Eagles' varsity tennis team since her freshman season, and has been on two CJ district championships.

Woods is a native of Carmel, Ind., where she competed at Carmel High School. She has been a member of the varsity squad all four years, while earning All Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference honors her since her sophomore year. She's also been a part of two Greyhound state championship squads, while earning honors as a second-team All-State singles performer her sophomore and junior season.

The women's tennis program is in the midst of one of its best runs as a program, having won over 30 matches in the last three seasons.
