DAYTON – The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District teams were announced for cross country and track with University of Dayton junior Spencer Danielson recognized for his accomplishments in the classroom.

The junior runner is an engineering major and recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above. Danielson was both All-Atlantic 10 for the second time in his career and Academic All-Conference this season as well. He also received the High Flyer Award at the team banquet.

A native of Terre Haute, Danielson posted three Top 5 finishes in the fall cross country season and finished 13^th overall at the A-10 Championships. He set PR's in the 5K and 8K as well.

Danielson was named Academic All-District in District 5, which is made up of schools in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

As a first team honoree, Danielson is now a candidate for Academic All-America.
