Kathleen Maloof was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for her performance in the UNI-Dome Classic this weekend at University of Northern Iowa.

The freshman outfielder from Indianapolis recorded a .462 batting average with six hits, two doubles and two RBI during the week.

Sunday against South Dakota, Maloof went 3-for-3, tallying an RBI and a run scored. With one on and two out in the fourth Maloof hit an RBI line drive double up the middle. With the game on the line in extra innings, Maloof led off with a single and an error sent her home to score the go-ahead run.

On Saturday, against Green Bay she contributed to a five-run fourth inning. Maloof smacked a double and proceeded to score on an errant throw by Green Bay. Earlier in the day against Valparaiso Maloof hit a sacrifice fly to the outfield to bring the Flyers within one.

Maloof finished out the weekend with a perfect fielding percentage with seven put outs. Her .615 slugging percentage is one of the highest on the team.

The Flyers have a few weeks off. Their next game is scheduled for March 1 against Holy Cross in Kissimmee, Fla. to kick off the Rebel Spring Games.
