DAYTON, Ohio – University of Dayton baseball added four players to its 2012 roster after right-handed pitcher Denton Sagerman, right-handed pitcher Parker Schrage, right-handed pitcher Kyle Coenen and catcher Kuris Duggan each committed to the program, Head Coach Tony Vittorio announced on Friday.
“With the graduation of three senior pitchers, and (Cameron) Hobson
signing with the Seattle Mariners, we knew we needed to create depth as well as replace a starter within our pitching staff,” Vittorio said. “Adding Coenen, Schrage, and Sagerman we did that. With the
departure of catcher (Danny) Welch behind the plate to the Oakland A's, Duggan allows us to continue to have a quality catcher who can really catch and throw.”
