HINCKLEY, Ohio – Behind a 73 from senior Clara Ang, the Dayton Flyers moved up and finished in third at the 2011 Cleveland State Invitational.

Ang improved from her first round 82 to finish the tournament in eighth. She led all tournament participants with 25 pars and was plus one overall on par-5 holes.

This is also Ang’s ninth career Top 10 finish.

Freshman Lucy Frey earned her first career Top 10 finish after shooting a 79 in round two. She placed in ninth overall, one shot behind Ang in her total score.

Sophomore Maggie Prokop improved from day one to shoot an 80 in the second round. She placed in 24th among individuals.

Senior Heather Jorgensen carded an 85 in round two, while sophomore Erin Peavy rebounded as well to shoot an 82 in round two.

Playing as an individual, freshman Kelly Muskat shot an 88 in round two.

Dayton improved from its 327 in round one to shoot a 314 team score in the second.

Next up for the Flyers is the MAC Preview from Oct. 10-11 in Fishers, Ind.
