Dayton will bring a seven-match winning streak and 29-match winning streak against A-10 opponents on the road against George Washington and Charlotte this weekend … The Flyers lead the A-10 in team hitting percentage (.274), opponent hitting percentage (.167) and blocks per set (2.54) … Sophomore middle blocker Megan Campbell leads the A-10 and ranks 10th in the nation in blocks per set (1.47) and 12th in hitting percentage (.407) … Junior outside hitter Rachel Krabacher leads the A-10 and ranks 18th in the nation in kills per set (4.48) and 20th in points per set (5.0) … Last weekend UD defeated Saint Louis (3-1) and Duquesne (3-0) at home ... UD received a vote in the most recent AVCA Top-25 Coaches Poll this week – the 38th consecutive week UD has been receiving votes … All five of UD’s losses are against teams which are currently ranked, including a five-set loss to No. 1 Illinois … In the preseason, the Flyers were picked to win their third consecutive Atlantic 10 title … Head Coach Kelly Sheffield – the 2010 AVCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year – has an 90-26 record at UD.

George Washington started the 2011 campaign 10-0, including wins over fellow District residents American, George Mason, Georgetown and Howard … A five-match losing streak followed its best start since 2003, but GW will enter the weekend coming off wins against Loyola (3-0) and Charlotte (3-1) … The Colonials are led by first-year head coach Amanda Ault – a former setter at Central Michigan with assistant coaching stops at Lamar, Xavier and Michigan … Setter Katie Crosby leads the A-10 in assists per set (10.45) … Outside hitter Lauren Whyte ranks second in the A-10 in kills per set (3.91), behind UD’s Krabacher … Libero Candace Silva-Martin ranks second in the A-10 in aces per set (0.37) … Last season GW was the last team out of the A-10 Tournament (seventh place) after a 6-9 conference season.

Charlotte will enter its first conference home weekend with five consecutive losses and a 0-3 mark in A-10 play … The 49ers are led by head coach Chris Redding in his 5th season at Charlotte with a 64-71 record … Redding is a former head coach at Appalachian State (1999-02) … After having one of the best defenses in the conference last season – second in opponent hitting percentage and second blocks per set – the 49ers rank last in digs, eighth in opponent hitting percentage and fourth blocks per set this season … Outside hitter Bianca Rouse leads the team in kills per set (3.28).

Last Weekend
Dayton defeated Saint Louis (3-1) and Duquesne (3-0) at home to extend its winning streak to seven matches … In the A-10 preseason poll Duquesne was picked third and Saint Louis was picked fourth … Sophomore middle blocker Megan Campbell was named the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week and junior outside hitter Rachel Krabacher was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week for their performances … Junior libero Paige Vargas kept climbing up Dayton’s career digs list with 1,200 – good for seventh place.
