WASHINGTON – With a season-high 10 service aces and no service errors, University of Dayton volleyball improved to 5-0 in the Atlantic 10 Conference after sweeping George Washington in straight sets on Friday night at the Charles E. Smith Center (25-17, 25-12, 26-24).

It is the first known match in program history that the Flyers have recorded no service errors while also setting a season-high in aces.

Dayton used its aggressive approach at the service line to jump out to leads of 8-2 in the first set and 18-5 in the second before handing the Colonials their first home loss of the season. Junior setter Samantha Selsky and junior libero Paige Vargas led Dayton with three aces each.

Reigning A-10 Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week – sophomore middle Megan Campbell and junior outside hitter Rachel Krabacher – guided the Flyers’ offense in the first conference road match of the season. Krabacher registered a match-high 15 kills on a .303 hitting percentage, while Campbell had four blocks and 14 kills on a .542 clip.

Senior outside hitter Yvonne Marten recorded double-digit digs for the seventh time this season as she joined Vargas with 11 digs each.

Lauren Whyte led George Washington with 14 kills on 38 swings. After starting the season 10-0, the Colonials fall to 12-6 and 1-3 in conference play.

The Flyers (12-5, 5-0 A-10) win their 30th consecutive match against an Atlantic 10 opponent with their seventh sweep in the last eight matches. UD now holds a 24-9 series advantage over George Washington.

Dayton returns to action on Sunday to face Charlotte on the road, beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
