HEBRON, Ky. – A trio of Dayton Flyers finished in the Top 10 individually as Matt Buse placed in fifth, Michael Oberschmidt took seventh and Sean Keating came in 10th at the 2011 Bearcat Invitational.

As a team the Flyers placed in third, two strokes away from winning the tournament. UD shot a 297 in round three and had team scores of 283 and 290 on day one.

The third place finish is also the second time this season Dayton has placed in the Top 5.

For Buse, it was his second career Top 10 finish and for Oberschmidt it was his third. Keating has placed in the Top 10 twice this season and five times in his Flyer career.

The low score of round three went to Keating after he tallied an even-par 70.

Buse fired a 75 in the third round and Oberschmidt added a 74.

Other contributors for UD included junior Brenten Blakeman adding an 80 and junior John Muir firing a 78.

Dayton concludes the fall campaign with the UD Fall Invitational on Oct. 17-18. The 36-hole tournament will take place at the NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
