Turner was selected to the 2011 17 Club AAU All-American Team with her club team Premier Volleyball, coached by Jodi Schramm.

Head Coach Kelly Sheffield on Alaina Turner
“Alaina is a jumping jack with a fast arm. She can get on top of the ball and absolutely bounce it. Most of her experience is in the middle but she has been playing on the left recently and that is where we plan to use her. She's not real big but she plays big and she plays fast.”
