UD MEN'S GOLF HEADS TO COLUMBUS FOR THE ROBERT KEPLER INTERCOLLEGIATE

Last season the Flyers finished in seventh at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate.
With only two spring events remaining before the Atlantic 10 men's golf championship, the Dayton Flyers head to the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate hosted by The Ohio State University.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament will take place on Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 from the Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.

Live stats will be available through Golfstat.com on the DaytonFlyers.com website.

The first and second rounds will begin on Saturday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. ET. The final round on Sunday will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET.

It is the second consecutive season the Flyers will be competing in the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. Last season the Flyers finished in seventh behind Michael Oberschmidt tying for 23rd among individuals.

Flyer head coach Gip Hogaland is still looking to firm up his final five golfers for the upcoming conference championship.

Dayton is coming off 14th place finish at the NYX Hoosier Invitational last weekend. Dayton's Sean Keating was their top finisher placing in a tie for 39th among individuals and finished four-over par for the tournament. In fact, Keating has scored a 77 or lower in all 18 rounds this season for Dayton.

The Flyers are a part of a 15-team field that includes Ball State, Bowling Green State, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Kent State, Marshall, Northwestern, Ohio, Ohio State, SMU, Toledo, Western Kentucky, Wright State and Xavier.

The Ohio State University Scarlet Golf Course reopened in the spring of 2006 after undergoing a major renovation by golf great Jack Nicklaus. The par-71 golf course measures 7,455 yards from the championship tees. The course was originally constructed in 1938 by famed architect Dr. Alister McKenzie.
