SOFTBALL ON THE ROAD AT GW

Game Notes

DAYTON, Ohio
- The University of Dayton softball team (18-23, 5-6 A-10) travels to Washington, D.C. this weekend for a doubleheader against the George Washington Colonials on Saturday, April 21 beginning at Noon.

Dayton is 4-1 in its last five games after earning wins over Temple, Saint Joseph’s and IUPUI.

Senior Brandy Brown is hitting .347 with eight doubles, one home run and 17 RBI. Sophomore Alysha Isaacson is hitting .307 with three home runs and one double. Junior Kathleen Maloof is hitting .304 with seven doubles and seven home runs.

Freshman Kayla English (8-7, 2.32 ERA) leads the Flyer pitching staff with 99 strikeouts in 102.2 inning pitched. Isaacson has a 4.66 ERA and 38 strikeouts on the year. Isaacson pitched six no-hit innings against Saint Joseph’s on Sunday, April 15.

GW is 17-26 and 7-7 in Atlantic 10 action. The Colonials are coming off of a sweep against the La Salle Explorers on Thursday. Victoria Valos leads GW with a .326 average. Valos has seven doubles, one triple and eight home runs. Chelsea Lenhart has 11 doubles for George Washington. Kara Clauss is 11-16 in the circle, she has a 2.95 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 164.0 innings pitched.
