DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women’s track and field team will compete in the 2012 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 in Amherst, Mass.

Dayton is coming off a pair of wins at the Miami Redhawk Invitational last Saturday. UD placed first in the hammer throw, while also having three participants tie for first in the Pole Vault. Aly Weeman won the Hammer Throw with a toss of 170-06 (51.98). Ashley DeMange, Katrina Steinhauser and Hanna Krizmanic each tied for first with a height of 11-11.75 (3.65m) in the pole vault.

The hammer throw opens up the championship on Saturday at 9 a.m. Events will run through the day, culminating at approximately 6 p.m. with the 4x800 meter relay. Action will resume on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. with the discus throw. The awards ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. following the 4x400 relay on Sunday.
